Oracle GoldenGate Deployment Types

 Overview

When creating a deployment in Oracle GoldenGate Data Integration, you must select a deployment type based on your business requirement. The three available options are:

  1. Data Replication
  2. Data Transforms
  3. Stream Analytics

1. Data Replication

Purpose

Capture and replicate data changes from databases, applications, and cloud services in near real time.

2. Data Transforms

Purpose

Move and transform data between different systems using a graphical design interface.

Key Features

  • Drag-and-drop ETL development
  • Data cleansing and standardization
  • Column mapping and renaming
  • Data type conversion
  • Data filtering and aggregation
  • Data enrichment and masking

For most ODAA migration scenarios such as OCI-to-ODAA, on-premises-to-ODAA, EBS migration, PeopleSoft migration, and database modernization projects, the recommended deployment type is:
